On Kingdom Hospital...
I'm currently going through Kingdom Hospital. It's Stephen King, and I know a bunch o' people on my friendslist were fans.
I'm not sure though.
I'm just under halfway through, and I assume it's building towards something, but I'm unsure entirely of what. There's the obvious conflict and resolution of the ghosts existing in the hospital, but I'll try not to be spoilerific here.
What has me OFF about the show is that I can't tell if I enjoy it or not. King wrote the teleplay based off of another guy's television show. Interesting to start... it's dark, and quirky... and... it's Twin Peaks without the charm.
That's it in a nutshell. The strange characters line the place, but in the end it comes down to the fact that it FEELS like the writer was trying to be David Lynch and got it a little out of focus.
I'll reserve all final critique til the end, as I am looking forward to the culmination of all this strangeness, but I did want to mention that I'm watching it.
